Privacy Policy

This explains what information ESOS Inbox may use, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

In plain English

  • ESOS uses your information to provide the features you choose.
  • Your mailbox stays tied to the ESOS account that is allowed to use it.
  • Email content can help ESOS understand a message, but it cannot command ESOS or change your security settings.
  • ESOS may use trusted service providers when needed to run features such as email connections, hosting, and payments.
  • You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of certain personal information.

The full policy below explains the details.

What this policy covers

This policy covers ESOS Inbox and the ESOS services that support it. ESOS Inbox is a product of Ecommerce Signal.

Information ESOS may process

Depending on the features you use, ESOS may process account and profile information, connected mailbox information, sender and recipient information, email metadata, message content needed for supported features, preferences, rules, Watches, activity records, billing-related account status, device or browser information, and security or audit records.

Where the information comes from

Information may come directly from you, from accounts you choose to connect, from actions you take inside ESOS, and from service providers needed to operate ESOS. ESOS does not treat an email message as permission to connect a new account, change security settings, or take an unrelated action.

Why ESOS uses information

ESOS uses information to provide the features you choose, keep your account secure, remember approved preferences, perform requested email actions, show activity and Watches, improve reliability, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal or operational obligations.

Email content is untrusted data

Email content may help ESOS understand a message, but email content has no authority to issue commands, change permissions, bypass security controls, reveal credentials, or execute code. Suspicious content and risky attachments are handled under separate safety controls.

Account and mailbox separation

Mailbox access is scoped to the ESOS account that owns or is permitted to use that mailbox. ESOS is designed to deny access when ownership or permission cannot be established.

Connected services and service providers

ESOS may use third-party services that are necessary to provide features you request, such as email providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, analytics or reliability services, and other connected services. The information made available to a provider should be limited to what is needed for that service or integration.

Cookies, browser storage, and device information

ESOS may use session cookies, local browser storage, and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, installation behavior, and basic site operation. Public pages may also use configured analytics or measurement tools when those tools are enabled.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. Some records may be kept while your account is active. Security, audit, transaction, action-history, or legal records may need to be retained longer. ESOS should not keep personal information longer than reasonably needed for its stated purpose, security, legal obligations, or dispute handling.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information, and to appeal some denied privacy requests. Requests may be limited where ESOS must keep information for security, legal, fraud-prevention, transaction, or other lawful reasons.

Security

ESOS uses account boundaries, permission checks, secure browser sessions, audit records, and other technical and operational safeguards intended to protect account and mailbox information. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Children and family accounts

ESOS Inbox is not intended for a child to create or manage an independent account without appropriate authorization. Family or member access should be created and controlled by an authorized account or family administrator where that feature is available.

Changes to this policy

This policy is versioned. When material changes affect how personal information is handled, ESOS may provide additional notice or require renewed acceptance when appropriate.

Contact

Questions or privacy requests may be sent to Ecommerce Signal through its published support or contact channels. A dedicated privacy-request path may also be provided through the ESOS Account area.
